How sweet it is

Go ahead. Ask my mother-in-law. And my sister. And my neighbor.

They all think I'm crazy-obsessive about a lot of what I do with Buttercup, what with my homemade baby food and rules about what she can eat and what she can't and keeping Buttercup's car seat rear-facing until she's at least 30 pounds, and yes, the list goes on so I'll just stop there.

I just have very strong feelings about how to parent my daughter and keep her as safe as I can, so it would only follow that I'm the same about what I choose to use on her skin to keep it soft and moisturized.

So you can only imagine how happy I am to find the Thymes Sweetleaf Baby line of products. Made of calming organic lavendar, chamomile, and aloe vera, the products are gentle enough for newborn skin and smell so baby sweet.

Since finding Thymes Sweetleaf Baby Lotion ($16.00), I have fallen in love with the barely-there scent of rose, jasmine, sandalwood and amber on my little baby. And since receiving the lotion, Buttercup has come to expect a sweet little baby massage after her baths, which are now required to end with me pretending to eat her toes.

The whole thing ends in giggles, nuzzles, and hugs, and I love every minute of it.

I also love that the Sweetleaf Baby Lotion, which includes shea butter and honey in its ingredients, is Paraben-free.

Another favorite is the Sweetleaf Baby Nursery Diffuser ($40.00). I love scents, and this is one way to allow for that in Buttercup's room without having to worry about a candle flame. Thymes' reed diffuser utilizes bamboo to gently release the light aroma into the nursery, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

You have the chance to enjoy a Sweetleaf Reed Diffuser in your own little one's nursery or bedroom. Just visit the Thymes site and leave me a berrie (read: comment) by midnight EST on July 8 telling me what mom or baby product most interests you and why.

I'll pick one lucky winner at random and will be submit the information to PRIZEYWinners.

Good luck!

The Sweetleaf baby drawer liners are my choice. I leave bars of rosewater soap in my daughters' drawers and her clothes always have the most delightful smell. It sounds like the Sweetleaf liners would leave the clothes with a nice but not overpowering smell.

i love the gardener soap pebbles. very unique - they look just like pebbles from the garden. i use exfoliating soaps on a regular basis and this one is different than any one i have seen or used. it has walnut shells and apricot kernals for scrubbing that dead skin away. i'm thinking i'm going to have to give these a try. they would make awesome gifts once the recipient got over that fact that i gave her a box of rocks! ha! ha!

I can so relate to your post regarding your strong feelings about raising your child. My parents and in-laws are always second guessing my "weird" parenting things (such as using the car seat at all times..UNBELIEVABLE!). I too try to use all natural and organic products when I can and I just change the subject when people start undercutting my decisions.

Anyway, I love the products at Thymes. The Blanket Wash and the Nursery Kit are my favorite things. I'd love to win the reed diffuser as sometimes the diaper bin is a bit too stinky! Thanks for sharing!

sweetleaf baby massage oil...because it's non-greasy and quick absorbing. i love giving calvin massages...but sometiems the grapeseed oil is just a little too greasy afterward, and i don't necessarily care for him to have that slicked back, greaser hairdo. plus, he's more slippery than a greased pig at the rodeo...and my boy can MOVE. uber hard to get mister "roll-over and crawl away" into his diaper and pjs when he's so slick...but i still want to give him a post bath massage. thyme's massage oil just might do the trick.

This is an interesting contest. I had never heard of Thymes so I'm intrigued. I spent way too much time browsing their site so it's hard to narrow it down to just one item. :) I do LOVE my bubble bath to unwind at the end of the week though so I think my favorite product is the lavender bath products. They had several products, but if I have to pick just one, it would be the bubble bath I guess.
